MC: multimedia artist Ian Keteku Doors open at 6:30pm for all audience members. Want to take part? Poet sign up at 6:45pm (No advance sign up). 12 slam spots. 4 open mic spots. There will be a draw if there are more people than spots. Maximum of 3 minutes for poems in the slam and the open mic.

Luke is one of Toronto's most decorated slam poets, becoming the Toronto Poetry Slam (TPS) Grand Champion in 2017, winning the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word as the captain of the TPS and later as the coach. Luke represented Canada at the 2019 World Cup of Poetry Slam in Paris France where he placed 4th. Most recently Luke has been featured.

Toronto Poetry Slam hosts slams every two weeks at The Drake Hotel on Queen Street. Doors open at 7 p.m., sign up is 7:30 sharp, and the show starts at 8 p.m. starting with open mic, then the first round of the competition, a performance by the featured poet, then the rest of the competition. The slams for December are on the 6 th and the 22nd.
