The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority authorized the creation of the Geoffrey Bay Snorkeling trail in 2012. There are 5 floats setup to guide you along the trail that starts ~395 meters from the shore. One of the highlights of the trail is the wreck of the Moltke, a boat which sank in the 1911.

One of the island's best treasures is the Geoffrey Bay Snorkel Trail. It is a fascinating underwater journey with abundant sargassum, funnel weed, and vital coral reef builders. The trail is home to impressive 37-year-old Giant Clams cultivated by Dr. Rick Braley, the 1890 Moltke wreck, and remnants of a WWII aeroplane.
