Drunk in half pint glass. Aroma slightly fruity, some malty undertow. Tastes crisp but rather bland, better is the dry and agreeably bitter aftertaste. Overall, Deuchers tastes more like a UK bitter than IPA, little hops on offer from bottle at least. You could have a few of these on a summer's day.

The brewery, acquired by the brewer in 2008, was set-up in 1869 and it is the last major brewery in Edinburgh. The closure will mean the loss of 30 jobs.
